"Shut Up and Write": Intensive Writing for Research Students
Experience shows that research students can turbocharge their writing by writing intensively for limited periods,
and taking regular short breaks, in a space shared with other writers. This event will be held between 9am and 2pm, and facilitated by
Dr Michael Seats, Lecturer in the Library.
Participants write non-stop for 45 minutes, and then take a 15 minute break. Tea, coffee, water and biscuits will be provided.
Particpants can join at any time, stay as long as preferred, and leave at any time. However, in order to avoid disruption, it is preferred that participants join on the hour at either 9am, 10am, 11am, 12am, and 1pm, and leave only at the end of each 45 minute writing block.
Participant numbers will be limited to a maximum of 25.
